As the Station Gardener & Domestic you will also be required to assist with domestic & Gardening duties including keeping the garden and surrounding areas in a presentable manner and performing general garden maintenance as required.

Anthony Lagoon is located approximately 440km north east from Tennant Creek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out duties in a planned way, following work schedules, organising materials and equipment prior to commencing work
• Act as a team member throughout, communicating necessary information, participating in meetings and generally assisting with the work of others
• Follow all safety procedures when carrying out tasks
• To maintain and clean quarters, amenities, staff recreation area and guest quarters daily or as needed to a clean hygienic standard
• Clean air conditioners in quarters on a regular basis
• Dusting
• Sweeping/mopping floors
• Wash walls
• Clean showers and toilets
• Clean social club
• Empty rubbish
• Clean windows, fridges and fans
• Removal all cobwebs
• Wash linen and make beds in guest quarters (as required)
• Mow, whipper snip and water lawn areas within the station complex
• Maintain fences, hedges, garden beds, sprinklers
• Maintain gardens (pruning, weeding, mulching, planting)
• Prepare and apply garden chemicals
• Take rubbish to the dump
• Use chainsaw to trim trees and large shrubs
• Feed animals around the homestead
• Apply chemicals as required, operating only under supervision until trained; follow chemical management procedures in AACo Reference Manuals
• Maintain water supply equipment in good working order
