THE ROLE
Our client is a prominent and professionally run company running crossbred ewes and beef cattle in the premier livestock production region of the Northern Tablelands. This large sheep and cattle enterprise seeks a Station Hand to assist with daily activities on the property.  The role will suit an enthusiastic person with sheep and/or cattle experience who wishes to gain further experience with a quality employer and build a career in the grazing industry. Accommodation is available on the property depending on family requirements.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Hands on livestock management of sheep and cattle;
  • Other farm duties as required;
    • Fencing;
    • Weed control;
    • Property maintenance.

THE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must have experience working with sheep, experience with cattle is desirable but not essential;
  • General farm management skills including fencing and sowing are desirable;
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and strong work ethic;
  • Tertiary qualifications in agriculture will be highly regarded but are not essential.
